An outstanding female Indian Classical vocalist, Swati Natekar is one of the most respected voices in Indian Music in the UK, and known as the voice of "Nadia" on Nitin Sawhney's Mercury nominated album "Beyond Skin". She has also worked with artists to include Craig Amstrong (Composer of Hollywood movies 'Moulin Rouge' and 'Romeo and Juliet'), Jakatta ("American Dream" - which was no. 3 in the UK main charts), Talvin Singh and Ustad Zakir Hussain. Swati has toured and performed extensively, both nationally and internationally at venues such as WOMAD, Glastonbury and is a highly reputed artist on the World Music scene. Swati's voice also features on Hollywood movie 'The In-Laws', a Warner Brothers Movie starring Michael Douglas and 'The Republic Of Love' directed by Deepa Mehta.
Swati will present a very special concert, 'Raga2Destiny Chakra' - A Passage To India, which is a journey from Indian Classical, through Thumree - a traditional Light Classical genre, Ghazals to the extremely popular 'Bollywood', which has got a wider variety of musical styles. This journey will slowly take the audience towards the latest phase of Indian music - Fusion, where Swati, along with her talented team of almost 7- 8 musicians & singers, will present some tracks from her latest album 'Destiny Chakra'.
